Heather Whitley, CPM, LDEM is a licensed Salt Lake City midwife providing maternity care and home birth to women in the childbearing year.  Heather’s practice serves the areas of Salt Lake City, northern Utah County, Weber and Davis Counties, and Summit County / Park City.

She is a graduate of the University of Vermont and the MEAC-accredited Midwives College of Utah   Heather served women and families seeking holistic birth options in Vermont from 2005-2014.  She has worked in home birth and birth centers in Vermont, New Hampshire and Utah.  Heather relocated to Utah with her family in July 2014.

“I love Utah for the women-centered birthing laws relative to other states.  Utah is a terrific place to be a woman in the child-bearing year or a midwife.  Utah’s sunny skies, family-atmosphere, culture and ski powder drew me here!

I believe in meeting each woman where she is at, supporting and nurturing them through the processes of pregnancy, birth and postpartum.  It is important to me to maintain a license and the Certified Professional Midwife credential because of the rigorous continuing education required of me and safe adherence to laws and rules that govern midwives.  I offer highly experienced, personal, individualized boutique pregnancy care and home birth services for almost 20 years.”

Heather has been an adjunct conference instructor at the Community School for Midwifery and the Midwives College of Utah and former elected Treasurer of the Utah Midwives Organization.

Tara Mansius, CPM, LDEM former staff midwife at The Utah Birth Center and Andaluz Waterbirth Center in Portland, Oregon. Tara supported the transition of clients moving over Sego Midwifery as we took over the Utah Birth Center space and fits with our clientele well.

“Called to midwifery 14 years ago after the birth of my 4th son with out of hospital midwives and inspired by the quality of care I received,  all women deserve to be treated with so much kindness, attention, and personalized care.  Attending births as birth photographer and doula at that time,  I trained as a midwife at the Midwives College of Utah after the birth of my 5th son in 2013. Blessed to apprentice with the midwives who served me in my last 2 pregnancies at the famous Andaluz Waterbirth Center in Portland, Oregon,  I worked at Andaluz until 2018 when my family relocated to Utah.  I love supporting women in finding and claiming their own power in pregnancy, birth, and new motherhood.  When I’m not doing birth work I love traveling with my husband Brandon and our 5 sons, skiing, hiking, reading or doing yoga.”

Stephanie Green, DEM  a highly skilled team member during rare emergencies, Steph has been catching babies with Sego Lily since 2018. Formerly attending the Midwives College of Utah, Steph oversees our birth assistants. Many of our 5-star Google reviews include her – clients love her hard work and service orientation.
